INCIDENCES TO REMEMBER.

In the month of March 2010, inter religious riots broke out in the city of Jos in Central Nigeria between Muslims and Christians in which over 600 people including over 130 children lost their lives.

The violence which lasted for four days, also left a number of houses, churches, Mosques and vehicles destroyed and hundreds of people displaced.

The cause of the violence was the economic progress of settler groups compared to the natives of the region.

According to Police, over 300 people were arrested for inciting the violence.
