Kai Havertz: On Whether it Was The Right Call To Award a Penalty

“It was a tough game, we had lots of chances in the first half but we didn’t manage to score them. They are a good team, fair play to them. In the end, we are happy with the three points and three goals too.”

Kai Havertz on whether it was the right call to award a penalty: “I haven’t seen the replay but I think he touches me. I felt the contact and went down. For me it’s a penalty. I said to the goalkeeper ‘you touched me’.”

Kai Havertz on Bukayo Saka: “He’s unbelievable and shows it every week. I think he’s 21 or 22 and I’ve never seen a player like this. England are very lucky. He’s hungry every day and if you see him in training he’s special.”

Kai Havertz: “I just enjoy it on the pitch right now. It’s so nice. I have so many good players behind me and I really enjoy the number nine role.”

Kai Havertz on Arteta: “He [Mikel Arteta] taught me so many things, especially at the start when it was tough for me. I’m so glad I was here. Things were hard at a the start but everyone stuck by me.”
