Security Pressure ahead of Christmas

Security measures increased in Kampala capital city of Uganda ahead of Christmas season.

This happened after the police together with other security agencies identifying the increasing insecurities in the country especially in this Christmas season.

Kampala metropolitan Deputy police spokesperson Luke Oweyesigyire told the media that among the many identified insecurity in the city the security has arrested a man found with a submachine gun and other dangerous items.

This happened in Kisenyi Bus Terminal in Kampala where the police identified a 40 years old man suspect now by the names of Tumwine alias Busoni.

“The man is a resident of Mubende District Mubuteraniro village”.

The Chairperson of the Uganda Bus operators association Umaru Matovu credited the successful arrest.

Oweyesigyire emphasized the increased security measures at all bus terminals.

Mayambala Mustafa the one of the leaders of taxi operators call for tight security in all taxi parks.

“As police introduces new measures for safety during the festive season taxi parks must be considered” Mayambala.
