Rebecca Kadaga Declares Bid for NRM Female Vice Chair

Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, the former Speaker of Parliament and current First Deputy Prime Minister, has indeed declared her readiness to defend and retain her position as the NRM Second National Vice Chairperson (Female). She aims to address key issues, particularly youth unemployment, by advocating for infrastructure development and job creation initiatives.

  • Economic Growth: Supporting policies to boost economic expansion

Rebecca Kadaga won the NRM second national vice chairperson female slot, garnering 6,776 votes against Persis Namuganza’s 3,943 votes. Other winners include:

  • Vice Chairperson, Eastern: Capt. Mike Mukula
  • Vice Chairperson, Western: Chris Baryomunsi
  • Vice Chairperson, Northern: Jacob Oulanyah
  • Vice Chairperson, Karamoja: Simon Peter Aleper

Kadaga faces potential competition from Speaker Anita Among, who has expressed interest in the same position. The contest for the NRM vice chair positions has been intense, with various candidates vying for the top spots.
