Due to the undesirable decrease in boys population sitting for UNEB the minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museveni said that the ministry will have to seat and discuss on the possible causes of boy child drop outs and find the clear solution for the problem.

During the release of the PLE today 25th January 2024, the minister of Education said that the number of students with disabilities has started to increase not because their population is increasing but because of the sensitisation done that makes parents know that they are children and they can do what others can.the number of students with disabilities that sat for PLE 2023 stands at 2,436.

Mrs. Kataha said that those candidates that don’t qualify to get the PLE certificate are encouraged to repeat in P.7 in all public schools in the country.
