Parliament Set To Inspect Lubowa Hospital.

This is going to be the second time as Parliament tries to inspect Lubowa hospital, a project that has so far costed tax payers close to UGX 601 billions.

The first time a delegation led by the Leader of Opposition Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi was blocked from accessing the facility as they were trying to do their oversight role and yet no valid reasons were given for denying them access.

After being denied access to this facility, the speaker of Parliament condemned the act and promised to send the deputy speaker of Parliament with other members of Parliament to do the inspection and come back with a detailed report.

The need to do the inspection came in after the auditor general revealed that UGX that 476.5 billion was paid to the proprietor, but the work done at the site was not worth the money.

The auditor general further revealed that more UGX 88.97 billion was to be dispatched to the same project by December last year hence the request from the Public Accounts Committee to inspect this hospital project.
