The whilst blew in the Uganda Industrial Research Institute Gumisiriza Zefa the Head of Procurement Department by the time of revealing this he was suspended from work until further notice.
Zefa revealed that during his time in office he was like a statue since most of the work and money was being embezzled without any accountability. This forced him to open up in hopes for the state house anti-corruption unit to investigate more about the professor since most of his successors where always silenced
The Uganda Industrial Research Institute headed by professor Charles Kwesiga has been involved in the embezzlement of the institution funds for his personal benefit which has contributed to it’s under performance.
The institute is a government entity established by the act of Parliament as a research centre for the small scale industries in the country under a ministry of works or ministry in technology , but due to the professor’s need to get more money from the institute he worked tooth and nail in order to remove the institute under any ministry of either work or technology but he wants it to be put under the state house.
