News coming in show that the top leadership of the National Unity Platform was at the Uganda Electoral Commission offices today to settle their constitution woes with the party founder Moses Kibalama.
The National Unity Platform has always been accused of operating without a party constitution after them saying that the constitution they inherited from the previous party leaders had a lot of defects.
Among the amendments that the party leadership had submitted to the electoral commission, there was a provision that limits its leaders from occupying office for more than two terms and it was to be effected come 2026.
Problems arose when the commission published the amendments in the National Gazette and a certain law firm which is believed to be working for the Kibalama group submitted their objection to the amendments that were done by the current party leadership.
Inside sources have revealed to us that even today, they have not manged to settle these woes because of the complaints that were lodged in by the Kibalama group.
