ICCD: International Childhood Cancer Day.

Every 15th of February, different stakeholders allover the globe join hands to amplify the awareness on cancer among young people especially children and adolescents.

On this day still, cancer survivors and patients come out to share their stories and the different challenges they face in terms of access to treatment and living with the disease (Cancer).

400,000 children and adolescents below the age of 20 are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it is very worse in developing countries like Uganda, where the survival rate is as low as 20%.

But with early diagnosis and treatment, cancer is very curable and manageable.
