NUP War Deepens With Mayiga’s Administration : MP Bwanika, Mabikke, Mukaku Placed Bobi Wine’s Wife Barbie Under Siege Over M7 Money.

The Mighty TV10GanoMazima has exclusively established the genesis of the verbal war between the National Unity Platform (NUP) Principle Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) and maverick Kimanya-Kabonera legislator Dr. Abed Bwanika, faded city politician Samuel Lubega Mukaku and his friend Mike Mabikke the former Makindye East legislator.

Highly placed sources at Bobi Wine’s Magere home revealed that Bobi Wine’s war with Bwanika and friends started in 2018 when he was arrested in Arua over the violence that resulted in the alleged damaging of one of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s official car.

The incident happened when Museveni and Bobi Wine were in Arua soliciting for support for their respective candidates to fill the position of the Arua Municipality legislator which was left vacant after the assassination of Yusuf Ibrahim Abiriga.

Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro the NUP deputy spokesperson confirmed to TV10GanoMazima that when Bobi Wine was released from Arua prison, his wife Barbra Itungo Kyagulanyi reported to him how Bwanika, Mabikke and Mukaku placed her under siege over Museveni’s money.

Mufumbiro claims that Barbie told her husband that when he was in detention, Bwanika stormed their Magere home and quizzed her to confirm whether she met Museveni and he gave her money to cover-up for his government over her husband’s arrest.

He said that Barbie told Bobi Wine that Bwanika threatened her that they had all the evidence pinning her on meeting with Museveni. He placed Mukaku and Mabikke on phone to share more evidence against her.

The incident upset Bobi Wine but he decided to keep it to himself and ignored them until Bwanika decided it was time to mend fences. He used Mawokota legislator Hillary Kiyaga to mediate talks between him and Bobi Wine.

“I know, they met and Bobi Wine was very bitter with Kiyaga for bringing Bwanika to him without giving him a clear reason. But Kiyaga apologized,” a source said.

When we asked Mufumbiro to clarify an allegation that Bobi Wine dropped Mukaku as the chairperson of the party election committee and replaced him with Mercy Walukamba, he revealed that Mukaku was fired because he was soliciting for bribes from people aspiring for political positions on NUP ticket.

However, Henry Lubowa, a close associate to Mukaku rubbished the allegation. He explained that for the years he has survived with Mukaku, he is a corrupt free person.

He added that Bobi Wine dropped Mukaku from the said position because he questioned him when he gave a dictatorial order that all people power members should stand on the NUP ticket during the 2021 general election.

Mukaku’s argument was that Bobi Wine should support everyone in People Power even if they decide to stand in the colors of their beloved political parties.

In a realted development, Mufumbiro has revealed that in the Tuesday meeting between NUP top leadership led by Bobi Wine and the party parliamentary caucus, a resolution was passed to condemn Bwanika’s actions of publicly attacking the party leadership.

Other sources said that plans are under way to subject Bwanika to the party disciplinary committee for disciplinary action.

Mufumbiro also said that the legislators also vowed never to associate with corrupt people and those misusing public offices for their personal benefits.

He further revealed that the party leaders are very bitter with Buganda Kingdom Premier Charles Peter Mayiga’s leadership of not taking any disciplinary action against people who are using the Kingdom media houses to fight Bobi Wine and NUP as a party.
