Reports say the clan leaders were about 12 kilometers to reach the semi desert facility of Okonguani, which is an 8-hour drive from the capital, when police blocked them, interrogated them and thereafter drove them back to the Police station in the capital, Windhoek.

The arrested Buganda clan leaders include Lwomwa of Sheep (Ndiga) clan, Kyaddondo of Nvuma clan, Walusimbi of Ffumbe clan, That of Nakinsige clan and a cultural leader, Mutaka from Lugave clan. The clan leaders had been denied access to reach the Kabaka until the President’s office intervened and allegedly communicated to officials in the Namibian government, which extended their stay in Namibia waiting to meet the Kabaka.
