It’s 60yrs in Marriage of Zanzibar And Tanganyika

Today it marked 60 years in history since the two republican states decided to form a new nation called Tanzania

Speeches from the guests the President of Kenya William Ruto stated that “Kenya and Tanzania share a common heritage and destiny.

We are committed to strengthening our bilateral relations to foster greater socio-economic cooperation for our shared prosperity”.

Attended the 60th anniversary celebrations of the union between the former Republic of Tanganyika and the People’s Republic of Zanzibar, Uhuru National Stadium, Dar Es Salaam, hosted by President Samia Suluhu.

With us were Presidents Hakainde Hichilema (Zambia), Evariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), Azali Assoumani (Comoros), Nangolo Mbumba (Namibia), Hassan Sheikh Mohamud (Somalia), Felix Tshisekedi (DRC) and Hussein Ali Mwinyi (Zanzibar).
