Over 2 Million Perpetrators Of The Genocide Against The Tutsi Have Been Tried

According to Rwanda’s High commissioner to Uganda Frank Mugambage, over 2 million perpetrators of the Genocide against the Tutsi have been tried and forgiven by the victims through traditional justice systems known as “Gachacha courts.”

This announcement was made during a press conference at Rwanda’s High commission in Kampala – marking the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

While Rwanda has achieved unity and renewal of lives after the genocide, H.E Frank Mugambage believes it is the government’s responsibility to continue celebrating lives and unity as Rwandans, transcending divisions based on ethnicity (Tutsi, Hutu and Batwa)
