State Attorney Fatumah Bbuye Nabiwemba Found Dead in Wampeewo

Fatumah Bbuye Nabiwemba, a 47-year-old State Attorney with the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), was found dead in her home in Wampeewo on Thursday evening.

She was discovered by the driver, Hamuza Kadanda, who reported the case to police at around 8:36 PM after failing to reach her for several days. According to preliminary reports, she was last seen at work four days earlier.

A team of detectives led by the Division Police Commander visited the scene to conduct a search.

“We are investigating a case of sudden death. A postmortem will help us determine the exact cause. At this point, we cannot speculate,” said ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, Deputy Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police.

The body has been taken to Mulago City Mortuary for examination. Police investigations are ongoing.
