New Era For KCCA: Hajat Sharifah Buzeki Takes The Helm in Latest Reshuffle

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Hajat Sharifah Buzeki as the new Executive Director of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), alongside Mr. Benon Kigenyi as her deputy. Buzeki, who has been serving as the Commissioner of Human Resource Management at the Ministry of Public Service, boasts an impressive academic background.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, all obtained from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).

Buzeki’s appointment marks a new chapter for KCCA, which has been without a substantive leader since the dismissal of Dorothy Kisaka and her deputy, David Luyimbazi, over the tragic Kiteezi landfill collapse that claimed over 30 lives.

The new appointees are expected to restore administrative sanity and ensure efficient service delivery to Kampala’s residents.

Buzeki’s credentials make her an ideal candidate for the role. Her extensive experience in human resource management, coupled with her academic qualifications, will undoubtedly be valuable assets in her new position. As she prepares to take on this new challenge, Ugandans will be watching with keen interest to see the impact she will make.
