There is a storm brewing in a tea cup in the top executive of the Patriotic League of Uganda between Micheal Nuwagira Toyota it’s principal National vice chairman and Hon. Micheal Mawanda, who doubles as the PLU Director of Mobilization the Igara East Bushenyi District .
The impasse that threatens to split the patriotic formation is embedded in fight for the Bukedea District Woman Member of parliament, between the Speaker Hon. Nalongo Anita Among Magogo the current MP and her challenger Anna Ebaju Adeke for the seat in the forth coming 2026 elections.
It is well known that current friction emanated from Hon. Mawanda’s meeting with Ms. Adeke, which is aid to have rubbed Mr.Nuwagira , a die hard supporter of Hon.Anita.
In a social media spat both Hon. Mawanda and Mr. Nuwagira went bear knuckles .
This public display of animosity between two of PLU’s ‘CEC’ now confirms news that has been flickering out that, it is dogged with insider cliques and fights that could split its once solid camaraderie foundation.
The exhibition of the tension begun when Mr. Nuwagira Posted on his handle that;
‘’Honorable Mawanda, I would like to bring to your attention a matter that may cause confusion among the PLU fraternity and the public.
To avoid unnecessary speculation, it’s a paramount concern to distinguish between issues handled by the Director of Mobilization’s office and those beyond your jurisdiction.
Clarifying these roles will help address matters efficiently and prevent unnecessary discussion.
The Banyankore people have a profound saying: Ngu kwogambira owanyu kwehitsya akenda yayanga oza omubasheki Osheka.’’ The no nonsense Hon. Mawanda , then politely shot back in a ‘SHUT UP’ targeted response on his own X handle penning that; ‘’ Greetings Mr. Michael Nuwagira Toyota National Vice Chairman PLU,@chairtoyota
I have read your post regarding my meeting with Mrs Adeke the aspiring DWP for Bukedea District. I just want to politely remind you that all Directors in PLU work under the guidance of the General Secretary.

According to our insider pry ,, the tensions between Mr. Nuwagira and Hon. Mawanda , have existed for some time and that this is a tip of the iceberg before they reach their boiling point.
It is a well known fact that though Mr.Nuwagira, is an uncle to the PLU patron Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba, he has a special bond and friendship with Hon. Mawanda. Many a political observer is watching on how the PLU head will manage to churn out sanity before this incident splits its top ranks.
