January 16, 1997, Was A Tragic Day For The Cosby Family

Ennis Cosby, the 27-year-old son of Bill Cosbywas senselessly murdered in Los Angeles, California. Ennis was a victim of circumstance, having stopped to change a flat tire on Interstate 405 when he was shot and killed. The incident shocked the nation and sparked widespread outrage and sympathy for the Cosby family.

Ennis William Cosby, son of beloved comedian Bill Cosby and his wife Camille, was tragically cut down in the prime of his life on January 16, 1997.

Shot in the head during a failed robbery attempt near Interstate 405 in Los Angeles, California, Cosby’s untimely death sent shockwaves through the nation and ignited a wave of sympathy and support for the grieving Cosby family.

Born on April 15, 1969, Ennis was the third child and only son in the Cosby household. His upbringing was marked by privilege and promise, yet he faced challenges of his own, including undiagnosed dyslexia, which strained his relationship with his highly accomplished parents.

Despite these difficulties, Ennis showed resilience and determination, eventually thriving academically after receiving a diagnosis and support at Morehouse College and Columbia University. His life was cut short a promising future and left a lasting impact on his family and community.
