Historic Customs: The Odd Middle Ages Strange Method French Wives Used to Keep Their Husbands’ Loyalty.

There was a French city in the Middle Ages where the ladies had a strange custom.

Married ladies would cook breakfast for their husbands in the morning and sneak in a small quantity of poison.

The antidote would be provided to their men when they got home in the evening.

The toxin would not grow dangerous and hurt people in this way. This approach was followed for a very specific reason.

Husbands who are away from home for an extended period of time may suffer from symptoms such as depression, nausea, headaches, vomiting, discomfort, and shortness of breath due to the delayed delivery of the antidote.

The man would grow ill the longer he put off going home to see his wife. And finally, When he did get home, his wife unknowingly handed him the remedy.

In just a couple of minutes, he began feeling better. It was only meant to give men the idea that being away from home would cause them suffering and sadness. As a result, the husbands would grow closer to their home and marriages.

Many men could lose their lives if this technique continued to be used for minor purposes like viewing Premier League games.Women would think that their husbands are cheating on them yet they are delayed for other reasons.
