TV Presenter and Event MC Zambali Bulasio Mukasa Suspended from NBS TV for Breaching KISS A$$ Political Policy

By TV10 Editorial

Word sipping in from the Naguru-based NBS TV indicates that local TV presenter Zambali Bulasio Mukasa has allegedly once again been suspended from the station over a breach of the company’s supposedly impartial political policy.

Zambali is one of NBS TV’s best Luganda news anchors and the host of the Barometer show.

According to our resident spider at the station, Zambali’s woes emanated from his public display of political activism during the campaign trail of  National Unity Platform’s candidate counsel Erias Nalukoola, for the Kawempe North by Elections.

The ground trail cover whose principal chief campaigner was the NUP’s president Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine was one of the most volatile with several supporters being arrested for allegedly vandalizing property and impeding traffic among others.

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, AKA Bobi was Addressing NUP supporters at Kawempe Rally for Nalukoola who is Contesting on NUP ticket in Kawempe North By Election.

It is during this heat of the moment that Zambali is said to have sworn his allegiance to NUP and also declared his intention to run for political office publically.

This blunt declaration and having a few months ago been warned after he made similar utterances at the King Saha live concert at Hotel Africana, in Kampala, rubbed his bosses the wrong way thus leading to his second official suspension.

It is also alleged that the meticulous Victoria Bagaya, another star at the station has also suffered the same fate.

It should be known that it is a well-known public secret that the NBS TV top honcho Kin Karisa, is known to hobnob with top shots at the National Resistance Movement party including the president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Kin Karisa, is also the current president of National Association Broadcasters umbrella NAB, and wouldn’t want to risk falling in the negative books of  the NRMO nor government.

Zambali, should also be reminded that the NUP president Bobi Wine is not one to be fully trusted as regards officially issuing party flag bearer cards to overzealous media individuals.

Some of his victims include; Patricko Mujuka who risked his plush job at CBS radio in anticipation for the Nakifuma card that never was. Bobi in his rub a dub style instead gave it to now MP Tebandeke.

Katongole Omutongole formerly of Beat Fm who had dreamed of becoming an LC 5 on the NUP ticket for Kayunga but sadly lost the favor to Ffefeka Sserubogo.

These are just a flicker of examples of the unpredictability of Bobi wine.

NBS TV in the recent past has shaved off many of its suave and debonair staff including the indefatigable Joe Kigozi, and presenter Dalton Kaweesa among others.

The spider also claims that others who have been on pending suspension are; Samson Kasumba an alleged NRMO apologist and Simon Kaggwa Njala a sworn Democratic Party faithful.

However, the same source indicates that the suspensions are targeted due to the looming financial crisis that the station is facing.
