LEADER OF OPPOSITION [LOP] JOEL SSENYONYI WITH HIS BOSS BOBI WINE ON TENSION;

Leader of opposition [LOP] Joel Ssenyonyi with his boss Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi Ssentamu the National Unity platform [NUP] the leading political party president are on tension after the administration of parliament amendment bill being tabled for the first reading.

Richard Lumu the parliament member representing the people of Mityana south constituency has tabled the bill before the house for the first leading and the bill has been sent to the rules committee for scrutiny.

The main objectives of the bill are;

To provide for the election of the leader of the opposition by members of all the oppositions in parliament as well as to to provide grounds upon which the leader of opposition may sease to hold office; to require the shadow cabinet to be approved by members of the opposition parties-in parliament as well as consultations are also concerned and related matters.

As the amendments which were done in 2005 when Uganda transited from the movement political system to a multiparty political system, it should be the same way to amend the current parliament administration through this amendments bill of 2024 to defects.
