The 2025 Europa League final is scheduled to take place on May 21, 2025, at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain. This will be the 54th season of Europe’s secondary club football tournament and the 16th season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. The winners will earn a spot in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League league phase and the right to play against the winners of the 2024-25 Champions League in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.
What do the Europa League winners get?
The UEFA Europa League trophy is, at 15kg, the heaviest piece of UEFA silverware. To make things extra interesting, it also has no handles.
The 2024/25 winners gain a place in the league phase of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League, if they have not qualified via their domestic competition.
They will also earn the right to play against the winners of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.
