SPORTS: Uganda To Co Host AFCON 2027.

The ministry of finance has allocated 114 billion to the National Council of Sports . Uganda won the AFCON hosting right together with Kenya and Tanzania.

In the national budget frame work paper financial year 2024/2025, 380 billion was given to the NCS for the construction of hoima, Akii-Bua and Buhinga stadiums,
to enable the training and best performance in sports .

The Ministry of finance also allocated 20billion for the construction of 11 training grounds for the participating teams.

At least 52.722 trillion was approved by the parliament inside the budget frame work paper 2024/2025.

The ministry of Finance distributed the money in different projects as follows;Implementation program which include Debt payment,allocated UGX1.8863trillion, Human Capital Developement 9.589trillion, Integrated Transport and Infrastructure and Services 4.419trllion, Governance and Security 7.675trillion, Private sector and Development 1.911trllion, Agro industrialization, 1.813trillion, sustainable Energy development 1.342trillion, Regional development 1.047trillion and Legislation oversight and representation 945.76billion.
