TEN YEARS ON: Remembering AK-47’s Life, Music, and Legacy

Today, March 19th, marks exactly 10 years since he was buried in Kalangaalo Mityana district, the tragic passing of Ugandan musician AK-47 happened on March 16th 2015. AK-47, whose real name was Emmanuel Mayanja, was a rising star in the Ugandan music scene. Born into a family of musicians, AK-47 was destined for greatness. His brothers, Chameleone and Weasel, are also renowned musicians in Uganda.
