The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to announce the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results today, Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

This year’s UCE results are particularly noteworthy as they mark the first round of assessments under Uganda’s new Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC). Of the 379,748 candidates who sat for the exams, 369,601 are the pioneers of this new curriculum, while 10,147 candidates sat for the transitional exams aligned with the old curriculu
The results, originally scheduled for release on February 7, were postponed due to changes in the Minister’s official commitments. Following a meeting at State House, UNEB Chairman Prof. Celestino Obua and Executive Director Dan Odongo briefed the Minister on the results.
The theme for the 2024 UNEB examinations, “Embracing Security and Holistic Assessment of Learners in a Dynamic Environment,” reflects UNEB’s ongoing efforts to enhance the security of examinations while evolving the assessment methods to ensure a more comprehensive evaluation of students’ abilities.
