The President Knows : When I Call Him, He Responds to Me

His Response to me As Deputy Governor

An exchange ensued between Michael Atingi-Ego, Deputy Governor, Bank of Uganda & Medard Sseggona, Chairperson COSASE over the delayed appointment of Governor for the Central Bank, following the death of Emmanuel Mutebile 3years ago.

Atingi-Ego: Just to assure you that the Appointing authority is well aware of the vacancy, so to insinuate that he doesn’t know isn’t correct. Sseggona: I didn’t say he doesn’t know. Atingi-Ego: You said that I should be reminding him.

Sseggona: I only said, he has forgotten. Atingi-Ego: I firmly believe he hasn’t forgotten because every time I call him, he calls me Deputy Governor.
