Souls Of The Dead Are Still Bewitching Mufti Mubajje: ‘You are a Thief’ Words of Late MuzaataAgainst The Living Mubajje TurnsViral On Social Media Wires Years after His Stinging Prediction

IN SUMMARY “The sentiment of a community mourning the loss of a fearless voice whose warnings, once disregarded, now echo louder than ever, in the corridors of UMSC”

In a stark revelation echoing the foresight of Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte’s words, the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) finds itself embroiled in a property debacle leading to an imminent auction of substantial assets across the country. This unprecedented turn of events has uncannily substantiated Muzaata’s forewarnings against the leadership of UMSC, particularly targeting Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubajje.

Muzaata, a former Muslim leader and spokesperson for the Kibuli-based Muslim faction, had long sounded the alarm, accusing Mubajje and UMSC leaders of orchestrating an ongoing erosion of Islamic properties and assets. His fervent admonitions, once deemed contentious by many, are now reverberating with undeniable truth in light of the distressing situation surrounding UMSC.

Late Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte

The uproar ignited by Muzaata’s vehement criticisms has been reignited by recent developments. The impending auction, triggered by a staggering debt of Shs19 billion looming over UMSC, has prompted a warrant of attachment and sale issued by the Commercial Division of the High Court on November 16.

The properties at stake in this auction are no trifling matter. Among them stands the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council’s headquarters building in Old Kampala, a significant edifice housing the iconic Gadhafi National Mosque along with other crucial institutions like a Muslim hospital, Bilal radio, Islamic Call University, and a business complex.

The list of assets facing the auctioneer’s hammer is extensive, encompassing numerous plots of land, including those in Kampala, Kyadondo, Kyanja, Buikwe, Hoima, Jinja City, Mbale City, and Entebbe. Additionally, shares in key subsidiaries like Uganda Ranchers Ltd and Commercial Holdings Ltd, controlling vast expanses of land, have also been flagged for potential sale.

The gravity of the situation has left the Muslim community grappling with the repercussions of a profound loss. Muzaata’s absence, felt acutely during these tumultuous times, is compounded by the eerie accuracy with which his warnings have materialized.

As tributes and lamentations pour in for the departed Sheikh, the community is left to reckon with the bitter reality of his foretelling. Muzaata’s unwavering stance against what he deemed corruption within UMSC has now unfolded as an unsettling prophecy, leaving behind a legacy of contentious truths that demand urgent attention and resolution within the Muslim leadership.

In the midst of grief and introspection, the Muslim community is confronted with the challenging task of reconciling Muzaata’s prescient words with the distressing present, all while navigating a future fraught with uncertainty and a profound loss of faith in the custodianship of their assets and values.

“Innah lilahih wa innah lilahih rajiuon. We really miss your presence… may Allah grant janah Firidaus. Rip our sheikh,” echoes the sentiment of a community mourning the loss of a fearless voice whose warnings, once disregarded, now echo louder than ever, in the corridors of UMSC
