Rev. Sserwadda To Be Laid In Kashari: A Celebration of Life and Legacy

Rev. Eriasafu Serwadda, father of Senior Presidential Advisor on Anti-Corruption Col. Edith Nakalema, passed away on February 8, 2025.

Funeral Services

  • A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Church of Uganda, Mbalwa, attended by dignitaries including John Musinguzi and Allan Kagina.
  • Another service was held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at All Saints COU Kanyeganyegye, in Kashari.
  • Rev. Serwadda will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Rev. Eriasafu Serwadda was a respected clergyman and devoted family man. As the father of Col. Edith Nakalema, Uganda’s top anti-corruption advisor, he instilled in her strong values of integrity and compassion. Throughout his life, Rev. Serwadda served his community with love, wisdom, and unwavering faith, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew him.

Col. Nakalema described her father’s passing as “heartbreaking.” In an emotional message, she expressed deep sorrow and celebrated his life, saying, “As we grieve, we also celebrate Mzee Rev. Eriasafu Serwadda’s life – a life of love, wisdom, and unwavering faith.”
