Is Allan Ssewannyana a Diservice or a Blessing To Luswa Luwemba?

MP Allan Ssewanyana’s actions could be seen as either a disservice or a blessing to aspirant Alex Luswa Luwemba.

If Ssewanyana’s actions are hindering Luwemba’s chances, it could be viewed as a disservice. On the other hand, if Ssewanyana’s involvement brings attention to Luwemba’s campaign or helps him gain valuable experience, it could be seen as a blessing in disguise.

Alex Luswa Luwemba, who’s vying to replace the late Honourable Muhammad Ssegirinya. This comes after Ssewannyana and Ssegirinya’s reputation took a hit due to allegations of negotiating with President Yoweri Museveni in the past. These allegations were initiated by Mpuuga, although details of the negotiations and their implications are unclear.

Luswa Luwemba, who was Ssegirinya’s personal assistant, has reportedly been endorsed by Ssegirinya’s family for the forthcoming by-election in Kawempe North ². However, Ssewanyana’s actions are allegedly hindering Luwemba’s chances.

Luswa has taken a significant step towards becoming a Member of Parliament by appearing before the vetting committee at the secretariat today. This committee is responsible for verifying and vetting candidates to ensure they meet the necessary requirements and standards.

The vetting process typically involves a thorough assessment of the candidate’s qualifications, character, and fitness for the role. This is done to protect the interests of the constituency and ensure that only suitable candidates proceed to the next stage.

By appearing before the vetting committee, Luswa has demonstrated his interest in representing the constituency and is now one step closer to achieving his goal.
