confusions of the new grading in the new Uganda sturdy curriculum.

Parents and teachers are confused with the new grading in the new Uganda sturdy curriculum after the 2024 Uganda national examination (UNEB) results as announced.

Joel Senyonyi a parent and member of parliament representing the people of Nakawa constituency as well as leader of opposition in Uganda is one of the confused parent.

While speaking in parliament he said, “parents and students are calling us legislators and they are wondering how the grading for the new lower secondary curriculum was done.

“I was actually shocked because I should be the one calling the teacher to help me understand the grading” he said.

This means that the teachers, students, and parents on board are still confused with this new curriculum.

Hello added that heads of Education sector should come up clearly to explain the difference and what exactly the new sturdy curriculum content and benefits of the new sturdy system other than the previous.
