BREAKING: Bobi Wine Confirms Nup’s Head of Mobilization Fred Nyanzi Arrested at Kubiri in Kampala by Armed Men

Bobi Wine has just confirmed that Fred Nyanzi, the National Unity Platform’s Head of Mobilization, has been arrested by heavily armed men at Kubiri in Kampala. According to Bobi Wine, Nyanzi was taken away in a drone to an unknown destination.

This development comes on the heels of Bobi Wine’s visit to incarcerated Dr. Kizza Besigye, the ailing president of the People’s Front for Freedom. Although Bobi Wine didn’t get to see Besigye personally, he managed to speak with his co-accused, Hajji Obeid Lutale.

In a shocking and alarming turn of events, Fred Ssentamu Nyanzi, the Head of Mobilization for the National Unity Platform (NUP), has been abducted by heavily armed men. Eyewitnesses report that he was taken away in a drone to an unknown destination.

Insiders suggest that Nyanzi’s arrest might be connected to the recent birthday “military parade” held in commemoration of Bobi Wine’s birthday or his outstanding financial obligations following a court award.

This isn’t the first time Nyanzi has faced trouble. In 2021, his home was raided by armed men, and his adopted son, Happy Mugisha, was taken away

This brazen act of intimidation is the latest in a series of attacks on opposition leaders and activists. The regime’s actions are a clear attempt to silence dissenting voices and maintain their grip on power.

The National Unity Platform has condemned the abduction, calling it a “cowardly act” that will not intimidate them. “We stand strong, united, and undeterred,” said a party spokesperson. “We demand Fred’s immediate release and safe return.”

The international community has also been urged to take action, with many calling for sanctions against the regime. Human rights organizations have expressed concern over the increasing number of abductions and disappearances in the country.

As the search for Fred continues, his family and friends remain anxious and worried. “We just want him back home safely,” said his wife. “We urge the authorities to release him immediately.”

The abduction of Fred Ssentamu Nyanzi is a stark reminder of the dangers faced by opposition leaders and activists in the country. It is a call to action for all those who believe in democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
