AGRICULTURE: UGANDA TO HAVE REDUCED HARVESTS IN 10 YEARS.

Uganda is one of the best agricultural country in Africa. Uganda’s agriculture is just good because of the low temperature viability, fertile soils and two rainy seasons over the country leading the multiple harvests.

80 % of Uganda’s land is is arable but only 35% is being cultivated Uganda’s agriculture has the potential to feed 200million people . in financial 2022-2023 it accounted four a bout 24% of GDP and 35% of export earnings .UBOS estimates that 685 of Uganda working population is employed in agriculture.

Agriculture in Uganda has developed because of limited use of fertilisers.The most cause of decline in agriculture will be changes in climate due to encroachments of swamps and deforestation

Due to the increased deforestation, encroachment of swamps, over cultivation, over grazing and bush burning Uganda may lose the income got from agriculture because as we talk now rains are very little in time of planting the crops and population is increasing since Ugandan women are fertile and they produce as many kids as they can and in some years to come the land used for agriculture is soon turning into a village.

In order to improve on agriculture roads should be worked on because most agricultural products come from rural areas and of which have very bad road and teach people on how to grow crops on a small available place and harvest in large quantities because population in increasing day and night.
