The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), in collaboration with the Uganda Police in Mwizi, Rwampara East, have arrested Ayebazibwe Kenneth (commonly known as AYE), the son of Mr. Rurema Venance and Muyambi of Kigaaga, Mwizi. He was found in possession of a vehicle loaded with machetes, pangas, and sticks.

According to authorities, Ayebazibwe is suspected to be part of a group allegedly connected to Hon. Tusiime Julius, accused of terrorizing local residents in Rwampara. Police say the arrest is part of a wider crackdown on criminal elements believed to be funded by the legislator.

Several other suspects believed to be part of the same group are still at large, and a manhunt is ongoing.

As of press time, Ayebazibwe remains in custody at Mwizi Police Station.
