We can exclusively reveal that singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleon underwent a life-saving operation in the United States on Thursday. The procedure which was necessitated by acute pancreatitis was a resounding success, thanks to the expertise of the medical team and unwavering support of his loved ones.
According to a source who preferred anonymity, Chameleon who had been booked in the hospital after suddenly feeling an unusual I’ll at the residence of his life saver Juliet Zawedde, he was rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Since then he had been condemned to the hospital bed as they prepare him for surgery. Chameleon who had been tipped by surgeons to undergo the same procedure on 2nd February 2025 but chose otherwise, this time round he had no choice but to save life by facing the knife.
Throughout his hospitalization, Chameleon received exceptional care and his condition was closely monitored by his brother Douglas Mayanja and Juliet Zawedde. Shockingly by the time of Chameleons admission these two where nowhere to be seen as they were away with money bags. Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel Manizo, Juliet Zawedde and Tanzanian singer/ song writer Ruta Maximilian Bushoke were away in Miami shooting music videos for their music projects.
It’s sad that Chameleon had been left in the able hands of former Ugandan singer now a car dealer in US known as Grace Sekamate. Despite the absence of Chameleon’s brother Weasel and Juliet Zawedde. On his discharge he took residence at the home of Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso’s US mzungu wife Nicole Hayman who provided love and care creating a nurturing environment that allowed him to focus on healing and rehabilitation. This gesture underscores the importance of family support during challenging times.
Chameleon is now recovering from the surgery and is expected to take a three month leave to rest and fully recover. Fans and well wishers continue to send prayers and messages of encouragement for his speedy recovery.
