The Untold Story Of Peter And Paul Okoye Also Known As P-Square

Peter and Paul Okoye also known As P-Square were born on 18 November 1981 in Jos, Nigeria. Origin: Anambra.
They rose to prominence in the Nigerian music industry with their debut album Last Nite released in 2003. Senorita a track off the album got airplay on radio stations. It paved way for their sophomore album “Get Squared” in 2005.

The album was successful as it sold over 5 million copies then according to Square Records. Songs such as “Temptation, Bizzy Body, Get Squared” got massive airplay and topped Charts in Nigeria back then.


They released their third, fourth and fifth album in succession Game Over (2007) Danger (2009), Invasion (2011) these albums took them to higher heights and cemented their place in the history of Nigeria music Songs such as Possibility feat. 2Face Idibia, E no easy feat. J-Martins, Game over, Do Me, Ifunaya, Beautiful Onyinye, No One like you, Forever, Chop my money took them to international stage.

They featured American R&B hiphop Artiste Akon on the remix of Chop my money feat. MayD their record label signee and Rick Ross on the remix of Beautiful Onyinye. The video of the song became most viewed Nigeria music video on YouTube


As a result of these success Akon signed them to the Konvict Music from their Family owned Record label Square Record managed by their elder brother Jude Okoye. In 2017 the duo went their separate ways to pursue solo career. Mr P (Peter Okoye) sited disrespect and lack of appreciation for his efforts in the group, from his brothers as reason for him leaving Psquare.

Mr P released “One more night” feat. Niniola it became an hit and won him an award. The other twin brother Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) decided to release his own single titled “Reason with me” it became a chart success in 2019.


Despite this individual success by Paul and Peter their fans were not happy about their break up and insisted they unite. In late 2021 the two brothers mend their relationship and reunited.
