Cindy Confirms New Blu*3 Music And Vows To Stick To Their Originality

Ahead of their forthcoming concert, the Blu*3 trio comprising of Lilian Mbabazi, Cindy Sanyu, and Jackie Chandiru have hit the studio to record new sound for their fans.

The legendary iconic girl group look forward to cementing their reunion with new music, something their fans have yearned for a long time..

The award-winning group rose to prominence in the early 2000s, sold out concerts, and won numerous awards thereby establishing themselves as the Most Influential Girl group in Africa.

They, however, disbanded in 2008 and went ahead to pursue solo projects. Blu*3 are also in the later stages of their preparations ahead of the Legends of Sounds Blu*3 reunion Concert slated for the 22nd of June 2024 at Kampala Sheraton Gardens

Their chart-topping hits like “Hitaji”  “Burrn” “Sanyu Lyange” and “Kankyakyankye” among others created an unforgettable mark on the Ugandan music industry and saw them rise on the East African music scene as the most influential and successful African girl group of all time.

“We need to bring our old shade of Blu*3, not leave it…don’t dump Blu*3. Get that and merge it. Recently, we got into the studio with Artin, and we understood the sound we were fighting for. We don’t want Blu*3 to be dumped in this new music. We have brought our shades of Blu*3 and it merged to bring that sound to life,” Cindy Sanyu said.

Lilian Mbabazi echoed Cindy’s sentiments too. “We are working together as a team. We show up. This journey is something I am excited about. It is going to be fabulous.”

For years, music fans from across the East African region have been yearning for a reunion of the trio but there have been obstacles preventing it from happening.

All three artists have had relatively successful careers since the group was dissolved to pursue solo careers although Cindy Sanyu seems to have excelled better in her endeavors.

The news about their confirmed reunion has excited revelers who cannot wait to relive the memories of the days when songs like HitajiNzijukiraWhere You Are, and Burn dominated the music charts.

Do you remember the all-girls trio of Blu*3 that swept across the airwaves and won all awards that dared to nominate them? Their stage reunion has been confirmed to happen on Thursday 14th December 2023 at The Protea Skyz Hotel in Kampala.
