Sad News: Vipers’ Nigerian 29 Year Old Midfielder Abubakar Lawal Dies in Motorcycle Accident

The football community is mourning the loss of Abubakar Lawal, a talented Nigerian midfielder who played for AS Kigali and Vipers SC. Tragically, Lawal lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Monday, February 24, 2025, along Entebbe Road in Uganda, while on his way to join his team for a training session at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

Lawal’s untimely passing has sent shockwaves through the football world, with fans, teammates, and opponents alike paying tribute to his memory. His contributions to the sport will not be forgotten, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
