Mugisha Muntu Official Nominated as ANT Presidential Flag Bearer for 2026


Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Mugisha Muntu is officially nominated as the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) Presidential Flag Bearer for the 2026 General Elections. The nomination ceremony is t0ke place at 10:00 AM at the party’s national headquarters in Bukoto, Kampala.

This event marks a significant milestone for the Alliance for National Transformation and signals a critical step forward in its vision to reshape Uganda’s political and governance landscape. As one of the founding members and former party president, Muntu has long been a central figure in the ANT’s mission to build a values-based, people-centered political alternative.

Muntu, a former Army Commander and a seasoned political leader, has consistently emphasized the need for disciplined leadership, national unity, and institutional reform as key pillars for Uganda’s development.
