With only 18 hours to go, the highly anticipated ‘KING SAHA: LIVE IN CONCERT’ at Lugogo Cricket Oval is hanging precariously in the balance.
Organized by renowned singer Mansoor Ssemanda, popularly known as King Saha, in conjunction with Umoja Management and Kingslove ENT, the concert has generated immense excitement among music enthusiasts.
However, last-minute logistical and technical issues are threatening to derail the event, leaving fans and organizers on edge as they scramble to resolve the problems and ensure the show goes on as scheduled.
King Saha’s highly anticipated concert, “King Saha Live in Concert,” is facing a last-minute hurdle. According to insider information from the Nakawa Division security apparatus, Nakawa Resident City Commissioner, Ms. Mushemeza Caroline, has secretly ordered the police to stop the show, citing a security threat.
However, King Saha’s team claims they had obtained the necessary clearances from the relevant authorities, including the police, and were only waiting for a final security sweep by the bomb and dog squad on the day of the concert.
This development has raised concerns among King Saha’s fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the concert. The singer, known for his hit songs like “Nakyakala” and “Ebiseera Ebyo,” has a massive following in Uganda, and his concerts are usually highly attended.
It’s worth noting that King Saha has been making waves in the Ugandan music scene, with his concerts often attracting large crowds. His previous concert at Hotel Africana in December 2023 was a huge success, with many fans turning up to support him
In a shocking turn of events, King Saha’s team was informed that there had been a sudden change of heart, and the concert was now facing a pending freeze. This unexpected development sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, prompting show promoters, including Bajjo Events and newcomer Norbert Events, to launch a distress online campaign to save the show.
Taking to their X (formerly Twitter) handles, the promoters expressed their dismay and frustration, calling on fans and supporters to rally behind King Saha and help salvage the concert. The online campaign, marked by hashtags and urgent appeals, aimed to raise awareness about the situation and pressure the authorities to reconsider their decision.
Bajjo’s post reveals a shocking development – the Nakawa Resident City Commissioner (RCC) has attempted to cancel King Saha’s concert at the last minute. The reason behind this move is unclear, but many believe it’s connected to King Saha’s close ties with Robert Kyagulanyi and his support for the National Unity Platform (NUP).
King Saha’s relationship with General Caleb Akandwanaho, also known as Salim Saleh, could also play a significant role in determining the outcome of this situation. As Salim Saleh’s son-in-law, King Saha may have the leverage to overturn the RCC’s cancellation plan.
The cancellation attempt has sparked outrage, with many seeing it as a sign of a “failed state” and an attempt to stifle freedom of expression. King Saha’s team was still in emergency meetings to save the concert when news of the cancellation attempt broke.
This isn’t the first time King Saha has faced challenges. He previously parted ways with his manager, Sam Mukasa, due to irreconcilable differences. Despite these setbacks, King Saha remains a prominent figure in Uganda’s music scene, known for hits like “Zakayo,” “Gundeeze,” and “Ebiseera Ebyo
