Government loses trillions on Uganda coffee development authority {UCDA).

“More than two Trillions Uganda shillings has been spent to facilitate the duplication works of Uganda coffee development authority (UCDA)”.

The president of Uganda Lt. Gen. Yoweri Museveni says that UCDA works are the duplication of Uganda national bureau of standards duties.

Speaking to TV10 sources while reacting  on the coffee topical issues as of current in parliament of Uganda and the country at large, Museveni points on the reasons of why UCDA must go into the ministry of agriculture.

“Over many years Uganda coffee development authority has been conflicting with Uganda national bureau of standards (UNBS) in the works of standardising the coffee farming and production yet that is the mandatory work of UNBS.

The president also says that the bill of joining government ministries with authorities aims to minimise government expenditure of public funds.

“Stop political and tribal sentiments in matters of national importance” Museveni.

“Unless UCDA and it’s supporter indicates a clear other reasons apart from regulating the coffee standards in Uganda, the ministry of agriculture must handle the coffee farming and production issues in relation with Uganda national bureau of standards (UNBS)” Museveni.
