In the letter dated 25 October 2022 the URA Commissioner general John Musinguzi exempted tax to Koudijs Uganda SMC limited on the imported concentrate which was already assessed to pay the revenue.

We TV10 engaged the stakeholders and says ” this was an abuse of power and it’s also contravenes the East African protocol and council of ministers”.

Speaking to economists and tax consultants, we TV10 Gano Mazima found out that this was not commissioner’s  general work as per East African community customs management Act. It was the influence of corruption or bribery.

Corruption gross of government revenue is due to URA interface with East African community (EAC) standard protocols and legalities.
