A retired couple, David Mutaaga and his wife Deborah Mutaaga-Nabeeta, were found dead at their home in Entebbe, Uganda. According to preliminary reports, the couple was murdered by stabbing at around 9 pm on Sunday night. David’s body was found at the gate area, while his wife’s body was discovered in the bathroom.
Investigation Underway
The investigation suggests that there was a scuffle between David and the murderer, which led to his body being found at the gate. Deborah had reportedly reached out to some people by phone, informing them of the ongoing attack. Her body was found lifeless in the bedroom due to injuries caused by stabbing.
No Signs of Forced Entry
There is no indication of forced entry at the crime scene, which has a perimeter wall and remote-controlled gate. All doors were intact, suggesting that the killer had smooth access to the premises using keys or was already inside the house.
Police Investigation
The police are reviewing footage from the home’s CCTV cameras to piece together the events surrounding the murder. The couple had hosted guests earlier in the day and had two casual laborers who left in the evening, leaving them alone in the house. The bodies were taken to the City mortuary for post-mortem examination.
