President Museveni Appoints Arthur Mugyenyi as New Director General of ISO

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Arthur Mugyenyi as the new Director General of the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), with immediate effect.

The position became vacant following the death of Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka in February of this year.

According to Deputy Presidential Press Secretary Faruk Kirunda, Mugyenyi will be deputized by Tony Kinyera Apecu, who replaces Col. Emmy Katabazi. Col. Katabazi has been appointed Deputy Ambassador to a yet-to-be-named country.
