Electoral Commission Assures Public of Upcoming Swearing-in of Kawempe North MP”

The Electoral Commission (EC) has reassured the public that the delayed swearing-in of Hon. Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Kawempe North, will be resolved soon.

The delay, which has sparked concerns and raised questions among political leaders and the electorate, was attributed to the time required to complete the gazettement process.

However, EC officials assured the National Unity Platform (NUP) this morning that necessary steps are being taken to finalize the process.

After a closed-door meeting with EC officials, NUP Secretary General David Rubongoya confirmed that the Commission is in the final stages of gazetting Nalukoola’s election, with the process expected to be concluded shortly.
