Kaweesi’s Burial Set For Tuseday, This Story Is Exactly 8 Years Old

The slain police Spokesman Andrew Felix Kaweesi will be buried on Tuesday, a program released by the Uganda Police Force indicates. Kaweesi will be buried at his ancestral home in Kitwekyanjovu-Kyazanga, Lwengo district.

Kaweesi’s final journey is planned to start with a mass on Sunday March 19, 2017, his at St. Andrew’s Church in Kulambiro at 3pm. Thereafter a vigil will be held overnight at his home in Kulambiro.

On the morning of Monday, March 20, 2017, the cortege of the deceased will leave his home for another mass at Rubaga Cathedral at 10am. On the same day, the body will be taken to his country home in Lwengo.

However, burial arrangements for the other two police officers who died alongside Kaweesi are still unconfirmed. According to Police, the burial details for CPL Erau Kenneth and Godfrey Mambewa once their families confirm the arrangements.

Earlier today, our reporter in Amuria said arrangements are underway to have Corporal Erau buried on Sunday his ancestral home in Ochocia village, Orungo Sub County in Amuria district.

The three police officers were attacked by unknown gunmen as they drove from Kaweesi’s home in Kulambiro, a suburb of Kampala on Friday. They died instantly
