NRM Launches Efforts to Regain Support in Buganda Region

NRM’s efforts to regain support in Buganda are indeed underway, with a recent meeting in Kiboga bringing together key leaders from the region. This move is seen as a strategic step to address the concerns of the people in Buganda, who have been increasingly leaning towards the opposition.

The party leaders emphasized the need to regain the trust of the people and demonstrate their commitment to their welfare. This is particularly important, given the National Unity Platform’s (NUP) growing influence in the region.

To achieve this, NRM has been focusing on strengthening its grassroots connections, with Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the Senior Presidential Advisor, playing a key role in this effort. Namyalo has been instrumental in implementing poverty alleviation initiatives and promoting government programs, such as the Parish Development Model, aimed at empowering citizens and improving their livelihoods.

The party’s strategy also involves highlighting President Museveni’s achievements and promoting his “Musevenomics” philosophy, which aims to create wealth through skill-building and market-oriented production.

Overall, NRM’s efforts to regain support in Buganda are focused on addressing the concerns of the people, promoting government programs, and highlighting the party’s achievements.
