Eddy Kenzo Embarrassed at Kawempe NRM Final Rally After Being Ordered Off Stage

Renowned musician and Presidential Adviser on Creatives, Eddy Kenzo, faced an embarrassing moment at the Kawempe final rally. Honourable Rosemary Ssenninde ordered him to leave the stage to allow the national anthem to be played, signaling President Museveni’s departure.

However, Kenzo refused to vacate the stage, insisting on continuing his performance. His actions were seen as disrespectful, and he was eventually forced to leave the stage by the SFC security.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions, with some criticizing Kenzo’s behavior as unprofessional and disrespectful, while others have defended his actions as a stand for artistic freedom.

Eddy Kenzo took the stage after a lineup of talented singers, including Bebe Cool, had already energized the crowd. The audience was packed with notable figures, including the Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, NRM Vice Chairman for Buganda Region Hajj Moses Kigongo, and the NRM candidate for the Kawempe North constituency by-election.

As the Senior Presidential Adviser on Creatives, Kenzo’s performance was highly anticipated. However, his refusal to leave the stage to allow the national anthem to be played, to make way for President Museveni’s departure, sparked controversy.

The Kawempe final rally was a crucial event for the ruling party, with President Museveni and other top officials in attendance. The incident has overshadowed the event’s purpose, highlighting the tensions between artistic expression and official protocol.
