Beyoncé’s Mom Left Speechless by Daughter’s Historic Grammy Victory

Tina Knowles was completely floored when her daughter Beyoncé won Album of the Year at the Grammys for “Cowboy Carter”. She revealed on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” that she was at Beyoncé’s house, helping her and Blue Ivy get ready, when the announcement was made. Knowles admitted she was “very, very shocked” and didn’t expect Beyoncé to take home the top prize. In fact, she was so stunned that it took her a minute to process what had happened.

Knowles shared that she was sitting with her grandchildren Rumi and Sir, and they were all just sitting there in shock. She couldn’t believe it, especially since Beyoncé had been nominated for Album of the Year four times before but never won. Beyoncé’s win was historic, making her the first Black woman to win Album of the Year in the 21st century.

Beyoncé made history at the 2024 Grammys by winning Album of the Year for her country-inspired album, “Cowboy Carter.” In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude and honored Miss Linda Martell, a country music pioneer.

Beyoncé’s decision to explore country music was inspired by a past experience where she felt unwelcome in the genre. However, this led her to delve deeper into the history of country music, studying its rich musical archive. She reflected on this journey in an Instagram post, highlighting the power of music to unite people and amplify the voices of those who have dedicated their lives to preserving musical history.
