Kabaka Mutebi’s Brother Has Been Laid To Rest, Mufti Mubajje Has Paid Tribute

Kabaka Mutebi II’s elder brother has been laid to rest today in Kasubi Tombs, Prince Daudi Ssimbwa Kazibwe Golooba the son to Ssekabaka Edward Muteesa II and Magdalena Buwoomyaki was born on 14/04/1953 and died on 23/02/2025.

In a letter dated February 25, 2025, and written on his behalf by Hon. Hadji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi, Mufti Mubaje expressed deep sorrow over Prince Golooba’s passing.

He conveyed condolences on behalf of himself and the entire Muslim community, recognizing that the late prince had reverted to Islam and lived his adult life as a devoted Muslim.

“We are fully aware that the late Prince Daud Ssimbwa Golooba embraced Islam and remained steadfast in his faith until his passing on a strong foundation of Al-Kalimah:

Ashhadu an lā ilāha illa-llāh wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan rasūlu-llāh—‘I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Almighty Allah, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His Messenger.’”

The Mufti concluded by praying for Almighty Allah to grant Prince Golooba divine mercy and forgiveness.
