King Oyo IV Has Appointed New Prime Minister

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of the Tooro Kingdom has appointed Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire as the new Prime Minister, replacing Steven Kiyingi. Rwomiire previously served as the Kingdom’s Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Planning and Investment.

This change in leadership comes after Kiyingi’s appointment in August 2022, following the resignation of Bernard Tungwako. The announcement was made during the Kingdom Parliament sitting at Muchwa Rukurato Hall in Fort Portal City.
