2024 PLE PERFORMANCE OUTSHINED 2023

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced that the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results will be officially released on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The results will be unveiled by the Minister for Education and Sports, Mama Janet K. Museveni, at a ceremony at State House Nakasero.

According to UNEB officials, the overall performance of candidates in 2024 is better than that of 2023 ¹. There was also a 6.6% increase in candidate registration, with 798,771 candidates registering for the 2024 PLE compared to 749,254 in 2023.

To access the results, parents, candidates, and well-wishers can use the following methods:

  • SMS: Type PLEIndex Number and send it to 6600.
  • Online Portals: Schools will access the results through their online portals.
  • Printed Copies: Distributed by respective District, City, or Municipal Inspectors of Schools.

The release event will be streamed live on UNEB’s social media platforms (@UNEB_UG) and the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES) channels, starting at 11:00 a.m.
